Job Objectives:
The Accounts Manager/Head (CPA) oversees all activities of the accounting and tax accounting departments and is involved in the supervision and management of general accounting activities, analysis, and the maintenance of effective internal controls while ensuring statutory compliance in all accounting initiatives.
The role is responsible for the day-to-day aspects of the business's accounting and reporting functions and reports directly to the Head of Finance, who has oversight of the entire financial department.
Additionally, the Accounts Manager works with other finance departmental heads in deciding on complex financial modeling and approaches that affect the entire business.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage staff within the accounts payable department.

Oversee the preparation and finalization of monthly and annual financial statements in compliance with accounting standards and financial regulations.

Implement and maintain internal financial controls to safeguard the organization's assets and ensure data integrity.

Lead the budgeting process, including development, analysis, and consolidation of departmental budgets.

Manage the payroll function to ensure accurate and timely processing of salaries, tax withholdings, and benefits contributions.

Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits and provide necessary data and explanations.

Direct accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely billing, collections, and payments for optimized cash flow.

Develop and mentor accounting staff by providing guidance on complex accounting issues and promoting professional development.

Set regular weekly and monthly deadlines for processing payments and accounts.

Prepare regular reports (monthly, quarterly, and annual) with forecasts on payment flow.

Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

Negotiate and settle non-payment disputes with clients efficiently.

Stay updated with industry best practices and implement improvements.

Ensure the accounting team is operating at maximum efficiency.

Keep track of all payment transactions upheld by the company's clients.

Manage functions like maintaining the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and project accounting.

Ensure systems, policies, and procedures adhere to company policies while functioning accurately and on time.

Ensure efficient handling of all tax-related processes.

Keep track of company financial expenditures, maintain a financial database, and provide timely reports as requested by supervisors.
