Tunnel Engineer

What you'll be doing
Developing detailed tunnel design plans and specifications, incorporating the latest engineering principles and industry best practices
Supervising and coordinating the construction of tunnel structures, monitoring progress, and ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets
Conducting regular inspections and maintenance of existing tunnel systems, identifying and addressing any issues or potential risks
Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including project managers, construction workers, and regulatory authorities, to ensure the successful completion of tunnel projects
Analysing geological surveys, soil conditions, and other site-specific data to inform the tunnel design and construction process
Staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in tunnel engineering technology and methodologies, and implementing innovative solutions to improve efficiency and safety

What we're looking for
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Tunnel Engineer or in a similar role within the construction industry
Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field, with a strong focus on tunnel design and construction
Proven track record of successfully managing the design, construction, and maintenance of complex tunnel systems
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to navigate challenging situations and find innovative solutions
Strong project management skills, including the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders, manage budgets, and ensure timely project completion
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with cross-functional teams and external partners
Familiarity with relevant construction regulations, safety protocols, and quality control measures
