Job Description

A Delivery Driver is responsible for transporting goods from a starting point to a specified destination, typically a customer's location. They follow established routes, manage time effectively, and ensure packages are delivered safely and on schedule. Delivery Drivers may also handle tasks like loading and unloading vehicles, and collecting payments from customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Driving and Delivering:
Safely operate a delivery vehicle to pick up and deliver items, ensuring they are transported in good condition.
Route Management:
Follow pre-determined routes and schedules, and potentially adjust routes based on real-time traffic or weather conditions.
Loading and Unloading:
Properly load and unload packages and goods from the vehicle, ensuring they are secured and handled with care.
Customer Service:
Interact with customers professionally, addressing any questions or concerns, and ensuring a positive delivery experience.
Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including time, location, and signatures.
Vehicle Maintenance:
Conduct basic maintenance checks on the delivery vehicle, reporting any issues to the appropriate personnel.
Safety Compliance:
Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
Payment Handling:
Collect payment from customers, if required, and ensure accurate record-keeping of transactions.
Problem Solving:
Identify and address any delivery issues or concerns in a timely and efficient manner.
