Job Description
We are looking for a seasoned Database Administrator with deep expertise in Microsoft SQL Server to join our global IT infrastructure team. This role will support over 600 sites worldwide, providing expert-level operational support, performance tuning, and lifecycle management of SQL platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer and support enterprise-level SQL Server environments (2000–2016)
Troubleshoot incidents and optimize database performance and availability
Deploy and maintain SQL infrastructure across global environments
Implement high availability and backup strategies
Create and maintain automation scripts and technical documentation
Collaborate with infrastructure, architecture, and project teams
Provide secondary support for Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL (a plus)
Must-Have Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
7–10 years of IT infrastructure experience; minimum 3 years in SQL DB admin
Advanced SQL (T-SQL, joins, SQL Agent Jobs, linked servers)
Proven experience with backup/recovery, performance tuning, and HA setups
Familiarity with Azure Cloud, Windows/Linux servers, storage and virtualization
Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
ITIL knowledge and global support exposure preferred
English fluency; French reading is a bonus
Willingness to travel if needed
