Role summary

We’re looking for a Back-End Specialist with deep expertise in the modern .NET ecosystem and SQL-based databases to join our dynamic development team. This senior-level role plays a critical part in designing, building, and maintaining scalable, secure, and high-performance back-end systems that drive our applications.

As a technical expert, you will collaborate closely with front-end developers and other stakeholders to develop robust APIs, implement efficient database schemas, and influence key architectural decisions. You’ll be expected to bring a high level of technical excellence, problem-solving ability, and a passion for delivering clean, maintainable code.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable and performant back-end solutions using .NET (C#).
Architect and optimize SQL Server and PostgreSQL databases.
Collaborate with the broader team to ensure seamless integration with front-end systems.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other developers.
Communicate technical concepts clearly and provide constructive feedback.
Make architectural decisions and contribute to best practice standards.
Must Have Skills (Hands on commercial experience)

Expert-level experience with modern .NET framework with C#
Advanced SQL skills across multiple database systems
Proficiency with both SQL Server and PostgreSQL
Strong understanding of API design and implementation
Commercial experience building and maintaining .NET applications with C#
Experience designing and optimizing database schemas and queries
Expertise in writing efficient, performant SQL across different database platforms
Experience with microservices architecture
Modern .NET ecosystem tools with C#
SQL Server Management Studio
PostgreSQL administration tools
Version control systems (Git)
CI/CD pipelines
Nice To Have Skills (Hands on commercial experience)

Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
Knowledge of cloud services (Azure, AWS)
Familiarity with ORM frameworks (Entity Framework, Dapper)
Experience with message queues and event-driven architectures
Database performance tuning and optimization
Security best practices
Caching strategies
High-availability database configurations
Qualifications

Specialist level (senior/advanced)
Minimum 5-7 years of back-end development experience
4+ years of commercial experience with modern .NET, C#, and multiple database systems
Practical experience and proven skills are prioritized over formal education
Computer Science degree or equivalent is beneficial but not required
Are we open to candidates with transferable skills? Yes, for candidates with strong back-end skills who can quickly adapt to .NET with C# and SQL
