Heavy Equipment Operator

AS TO ELIGIBILITIES, GACDC is ISO certified by International Standards Certifications Philippines, Inc. and was granted Triple A LICENSE by the PHIL. CONTRACTORS ACCREDITATION BOARD IN 1992.
We are in need of a Heavy equipment Operator who is responsible for safely operating and maintaining large construction machinery like bulldozers, excavators, loaders, and graders, to excavate, move, and grade earth, rock, gravel, or other materials on construction sites, following project plans and safety protocols while performing routine inspections and maintenance checks on the equipment.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Skillfully maneuvering and controlling various types of heavy equipment according to project requirements, including digging, loading, grading, and transporting materials.
• Conducting thorough pre-operation checks on equipment to ensure proper functionality and identify any potential safety issues.
• Performing routine maintenance tasks like lubrication, refueling, and cleaning equipment after use.
• Adhering to all safety regulations, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment and following site safety procedures.
• Collaborating effectively with other crew members and supervisors through hand signals or radio communication to coordinate movements and ensure project efficiency.
• Interpreting blueprints and project specifications to execute tasks accurately.
• Identifying and reporting any mechanical problems or potential hazards to supervisors.

Skills and qualifications:
• Technical skills:
Expertise in operating various heavy equipment like backhoes,
bulldozers, excavators, graders, and loaders.
• Mechanical aptitude:
Basic understanding of machine mechanics to identify and
trouble shoot minor issues.
• Physical fitness:
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including prolonged sitting, lifting, and maneuvering controls.
• Attention to detail:
High level of focus and precision needed to operate heavy equipment safely and accurately.
• Safety awareness:
Strong commitment to safety protocols and procedures.
Work environment:
• Outdoor construction sites, often exposed to weather elements and noise
• Potential exposure to dust, dirt, and other environmental hazards
• Physical demands including prolonged sitting, repetitive movements, and heavy lifting

Key requirements:
• Education: High school diploma
• Training: Completion of a heavy equipment operator training program at a vocational school or through an apprenticeship
• Certifications: Obtaining necessary certifications depending on the type of equipment you operate
• Physical abilities: Good hand-eye coordination, ability to lift heavy objects, and good vision
• Safety awareness: Thorough understanding of safety protocols related to operating heavy equipment
• Skills: Proficient operation of various heavy machinery like excavators, loaders, graders, etc
• Experience: With 10 years of industry experience
