Job Description
The Business Development Representative (BDR) plays a key role in by prospecting, qualifying leads, and initial client engagement. This role requires excellent communication skills, a proactive attitude, and an understanding of the sales process.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Generation: Prospect and identify potential business opportunities within the travel and tourism industry, targeting (corporate clients, group tours, etc.).
Outbound Outreach: Conduct cold calls, send emails, and engage on social media platforms to connect with potential clients, promoting the company’s travel packages and services.
Qualification of Leads: Qualify inbound and outbound leads to determine their potential as long-term customers, gathering relevant information to pass on to the sales team for further engagement.
Market Research: Continuously monitor travel trends, competitor offerings, and customer needs to identify new business opportunities and adjust outreach strategies accordingly.
Relationship-Building: Establish and maintain strong relationships with (potential) clients by providing excellent customer service and personalized travel recommendations.
Collaboration with Sales Team: Work closely with the sales team to ensure seamless handover of qualified leads and provide detailed information about potential clients to facilitate closing deals.
CRM Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions with leads and clients using a CRM tracker, ensuring timely follow-ups and proper tracking of sales activities.
Sales Targets: Meet or exceed individual and team sales targets and contribute to the overall growth of the company’s client base.
Product Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with the company’s travel offerings, destinations, and services to effectively communicate value propositions to prospects.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
At least 3 years of work experience in a similar role
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
