Job Description

Reports To
The IT Programmer will report to the President and CEO, VP for Operations, LMS & Software Interface - PLH, and General Manager

Job Description
• Develop and maintain web applications using PHP and the Laravel framework, while overseeing and guiding junior developers when needed.
• Implement user interfaces using JavaScript frameworks, especially Vue.js, to ensure seamless user experiences, and review team members’ implementations for quality and efficiency.
• Design, develop, and integrate RESTful APIs to support business applications, ensuring scalability and maintainability.
• Optimize database queries and structures in MySQL to maintain data integrity and enhance performance, while assisting the team in troubleshooting complex database-related issues.
• Utilize version control systems (e.g., Git) to track and manage code changes effectively, ensuring best practices in collaboration and workflow.
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging to identify and resolve issues promptly, while ensuring adherence to coding standards across the team.
• Collaborate with designers, project managers, and other developers to align software solutions with business goals, occasionally providing technical recommendations and guidance.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation for developed applications, ensuring clarity for future development and maintenance.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices, sharing insights with the team to improve development efficiency and code quality.

Job Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 1-3 years in software development
• Proficient in PHP and Laravel.
• Familiar with JavaScript frameworks like Vue.js.
• Basic knowledge of RESTful API development.
• Experience with relational databases (MySQL preferred).
• Comfortable using version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Strong problem-solving and teamwork abilities.
• Good communication skills.
• Amenable to work in Cainta Rizal
