Materials Planner and Direct Materials Buyer Executive

Responsible for materials planning and procurement of direct materials
Reports and updates Planning/Sales of the materials delivery status and commitments.
Prepares and supports materials for New Products
Settles delivery issues, and discrepancies with Suppliers and Warehouse.
Selects vendors from approved vendors list considering all policies and procedures, goals and targets on various metrics.
Maintain optimal stock levels to meet customer demands.
Can forecast future demand for materials to prevent stockouts, responsible for ensuring accurate data entry related to inventory and purchasing.
Analyze data related to inventory and production to identify areas for improvement, responsible for negotiating pricing with suppliers.
Work closely with production planners to ensure a smooth flow of materials and products through the manufacturing process.
Reviews and develop strategies to reduce excess inventory and excess PO to minimize costs.
Ensuring materials meet standard specifications, quality, and are cost-efficient.
Collaborate w/ related departments in addressing quality issues, returns, cost charging and supplier performance evaluation
Monitors Invoice from shipment to parking, ensuring no discrepancies that may affect arrival and payment
Track root causes for on time delivery misses/stock-outs and suggest and implement appropriate corrective actions
Executes and monitors all procurement activities for direct materials.
Assist in maintaining the monthly KPI
Provide reports and requested information as needed
