Job Description
LookML Development:
• Design, develop, and maintain LookML models, explores, and dashboards to support
business intelligence needs.
• Optimize LookML code to ensure performance, scalability, and efficient data processing.
• Implement complex data transformations, calculations, and aggregations using LookML.
• Ensure data consistency, accuracy, and integrity across all Looker assets.
Dashboard and Visualization Creation:
• Develop interactive, user-friendly dashboards that align with business requirements and
provide actionable insights.
• Create custom visualizations and effectively utilize Looker's built-in visualization tools.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to design intuitive interfaces that facilitate data exploration
and analysis.
• Continuously enhance dashboard usability and performance through user feedback and
data-driven improvements.
Hiring Criteria:
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information
Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with Looker, including LookML
development, dashboard creation, and data visualization.
Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in LookML for building and maintaining models, explores, and dashboards.
• Strong understanding of data visualization principles and experience in creating user-
friendly, interactive dashboards.
• Familiarity with relational databases such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and MySQL.
• Solid understanding of BI data architecture, data warehousing concepts, and data
modeling (e.g., star schemas, snowflake schemas, and 1-3NF data models).
• Experience in performance tuning and optimizing Looker assets.
• Basic knowledge of Google Cloud Platform or other cloud environments is a plus.
• Exposure to other BI tools like Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms is advantageous.
Soft Skills:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a remote environment.
• Strong time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet
tight deadlines.
Additional Qualifications:
• Fundamental knowledge of Agile Methodology, SDLC, or other project management
methodologies is a plus.
• Experience in project scoping, planning, and management is a bonus.
• Willingness to work remotely on a day shift under an initial 6-month contract, with
the possibility of extension.
• Availability to start immediately is preferred.
Work Location - fully remote; the consultant, however, must be willing to drop by our Valero Tower, Makati office for onboarding and other HR activities
Schedule - daytime (either 8am to 5pm or 9am to 6pm)
Salary Range - P60,000 to P70,000 gross professional fee per month, depending on experience
