Job Description

The HR Generalist will be responsible for supporting all HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development, compensation, benefits administration, and compliance with labor laws. The role will work closely with management and employees to ensure a positive work environment and effective HR practices.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

A. TECHNICAL AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
1. Coordinates the hiring process, including posting job openings, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and facilitating the selection process.
2. Works with department heads to assess staffing needs and ensure timely recruitment.
3. Ensures compliance with equal opportunity employment policies.
4. Serves as a point of contact for employees regarding HR-related queries.
5. Addresses employee concerns, resolve conflicts, and help foster positive employee relations.
6. Administers disciplinary procedures and provide support to managers during performance improvement processes.
7. Supports the performance review process by coordinating feedback collection, evaluations, and performance development planning.
8. Assists managers in setting clear expectations, providing training, and promoting ongoing performance improvement.
9. Coordinates and facilitates training programs for employees on topics such as compliance, safety, and professional development.
10. Supports continuous learning initiatives to enhance employee skills and foster career growth.
11. Administers employee benefits programs and assist employees with any questions or concerns.
12. Assists in payroll processing and ensure compliance with compensation policies.
13. Helps conduct market research for salary benchmarking and ensure internal equity in compensation structures.
14. Ensures adherence to labor laws and company policies.
15. Maintains accurate employee records, ensuring compliance with data privacy laws and company standards.
16. Assists with HR audits and ensures accurate documentation of HR activities.
17. Assists in the development and implementation of health and safety programs, ensuring a safe work environment for all employees.
18. Coordinates safety training and ensure compliance with OSH and other relevant regulations.
19. Helps plan and implement employee engagement initiatives to promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
20. Assists in organizing team-building events and recognition programs.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
• 2-5 years of experience as an HR Generalist or in a similar HR role, preferably in a distribution or manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of HR functions and labor laws.
• Experience with HR software (HRIS, payroll systems) is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
