Job Description

The Veterinary Consultant at Poultrymax Inc. is responsible for overseeing the health and productivity of poultry flocks in our breeder and layer farms. This role ensures compliance with industry standards and government regulations while implementing effective disease prevention, biosecurity, and nutrition programs.

The Veterinary Consultant provides expert guidance on poultry health management, conducts regular farm visits, and works closely with farm personnel to maintain optimal flock performance. Additionally, the role involves training staff, analyzing flock health trends, and recommending best practices to improve overall farm efficiency

Key responsibilities:

- Conduct routine health checks on poultry flocks and diagnose any illnesses or abnormalities.
- Develop and enforce farm biosecurity protocols to prevent disease outbreaks.
- Design and oversee vaccination schedules and medication administration.
- Provide recommendations on optimal poultry nutrition and feeding programs.
- Analyze poultry mortality trends, production performance, and suggest corrective actions.
- Train farm personnel on poultry health, disease prevention, proper handling, and emergency response.
- Advise on improving fertility, hatchability, and overall breeder flock health.
- Conduct regular site visits to identify and mitigate potential health risks.
- Maintain records of flock health, treatments administered, and provide management with periodic reports.

Qualifications:

- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), Must be a licensed veterinarian in the Philippines
- Minimum 5 years of experience in poultry health, preferably with breeder and layer farms

- Feed and nutrition formulation
