Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee all daily operations of the hostel, including guest services, housekeeping, and staff management.
• Ensure the hostel meets high standards of quality and cleanliness at all times.
• Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and requests, ensuring exceptional customer service.
• Manage and schedule hostel staff, including training, performance evaluations, and fostering a positive team environment.
• Implement and enforce health and safety standards, as well as ensure compliance with local laws and regulations.
• Control the hostel’s budget, managing expenses, and optimizing operational costs.
• Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote the hostel and attract guests.
• Monitor hostel performance, analyze feedback, and implement improvements to enhance the guest experience.
• Manage hostel bookings, ensure occupancy rates are maximized, and oversee the check-in/check-out process.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as housekeeping and maintenance, to ensure smooth operations.
• Lead pre-opening operations and contribute to the successful launch of new locations (if applicable).
Qualifications:
• Minimum degree in Property Development/Real Estate Management, Hospitality/Tourism/Hotel Management, or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of managerial-level experience in hostel, hotel, or hospitality operations.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to manage both staff and guest relationships.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong leadership skills with a structured approach and excellent work ethics.
• Resourceful, able to multi-task, and handle a fast-paced work environment.
• Results-driven and able to work independently to meet operational goals.
• Experience in pre-opening operations teams is an advantage.
