It has been in General Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (UN ECOSOC) since 1996. In 2008, GNI established its Philippine branch aim to improve lives, especially of children, through its one-on-one child sponsorship program and community development projects. Currently, GNIP is actively implementing child sponsorship and community development projects (education, health, water and sanitation, disaster response and livelihood advocacies) in (1) San Isidro, Rodriguez, Rizal, (2) Hagonoy, Bulacan, (3) Tingloy Island, Batangas, (4) Gigmoto, Catanduanes, (5) Prieto Diaz, Sorsogon, (6) Laak, Davao De Oro and (7) Guiuan, Eastern Samar . Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:
• Prepares the overall project implementation and facilitates the conceptualization/preparation of the project implementation plan/proposal and budget.
• Support in building and strengthening partnerships with government offices, humanitarian agencies, and civil society organizations to identify issues, gaps, challenges, and future projects, and contribute to the overall sectoral project implementation.
• Establish a partnership agreement through the Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) / Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
• Facilitate the implementation of various projects/programs and activities related to child rights and child protection.
• Facilitate the implementation of various projects/programs and activities related to education and youth development activities like school supply distribution, and scholarships. youth empowerment summit (youth wave).
• Facilitate and participate in the implementation of various projects/programs and activities related to Education and Health and WaSH.
• Facilitate the Special Protection Project: interviewing of sponsored families, creation of case summary/progress report, collation of official receipts/other documents needed, filing of fund requests, and accompanying selected families
to doctors for further diagnosis (if necessary)
• Mobilize community participation and ensure that representative groups are included in planning and decision making especially those who are less visible (e.g. youth, people with disability, Indigenous people, and underrepresented groups).
• Support in securing reportorial requirements of Good Neighbors Philippines such as quotations, a serving of purchase orders, and execution of service contract/purchase agreements;
• Provide support to other sector staff in the implementation of Sponsorship Service activities/programs
• Work with the field manager in developing an operational, strategic, and financial work plan and ensure that the program stays within the scope of Good Neighbors Philippines programming.
• Facilitate requests for activity budget and approval of requisitions, advances, and expenses and submission of timely funds requests by Good Neighbors Philippines guidelines/policies.
• Provide other duties that may be assigned by the Social Development Division Manager.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Health, Community Development, Social Work and other related courses
• Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience with NGO’s or INGO’s, community development/organizing and health and education sector support.
• Familiar with education issues and education system in the Philippines as well as health-related issues being faced by communities in country.
• Demonstrated good facilitation and community organizing skills, presentation, and communication;
• Advance computer knowledge and use of Microsoft Office applications e.g., Word, Excel, PPT;
• Excellent communication skills
• Good proposal writing skills and project management experience
• Ability to think critically and work independently
• Sensitive and adaptive towards culture, gender, religion, race, nationality, and age.
