Art Handler

Modeka Art is seeking an experienced Art Handler / Installer to join our team in Makati City, Metro Manila. This full-time position is responsible for the safe handling, transportation, and installation of artworks for exhibition and other projects.

What you'll be doing:
• Carefully pack, transport, and unpack artwork to ensure their safe delivery to various locations.
• Install artworks, utilising your expertise to position pieces to the highest standards.
• Maintain a clean and organised workspace, ensuring all tools and equipment are well-maintained, artworks in good condition.
• Collaborate with the operations team to understand installation requirements and specifications.
• Provide exceptional customer service and liaise with clients to address any queries or concerns regarding artwork installation and packing.
• Must be flexible to multitask and or do other tasks not listed above.

What we're looking for:
• Minimum 6 months - 1 year experience as an art handler or installer, preferably in a commercial gallery or museum setting.
• Strong knowledge of art handling best practices and techniques, including packing, crating, and installation
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow precise instructions and guidelines
• Good physical fitness and the capacity to lift and manoeuvre heavy or delicate artworks
• Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Familiarity with a range of art mediums and framing methods
• Knows basic color theory, carpentry and electrical works.
