Job Description
Reports To
The IT Programmer will report to the President and CEO, VP for Operations, LMS &
Software Interface - PLH, and General Manager
Job Description
• Develop and maintain web applications using PHP and the Laravel framework,
while overseeing and guiding junior developers when needed.
• Implement user interfaces using JavaScript frameworks, especially Vue.js, to
ensure seamless user experiences, and review team members’ implementations
for quality and efficiency.
• Design, develop, and integrate RESTful APIs to support business applications,
ensuring scalability and maintainability.
• Optimize database queries and structures in MySQL to maintain data integrity
and enhance performance, while assisting the team in troubleshooting complex
database-related issues.
• Utilize version control systems (e.g., Git) to track and manage code changes
effectively, ensuring best practices in collaboration and workflow.
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging to identify and resolve issues promptly,
while ensuring adherence to coding standards across the team.
• Collaborate with designers, project managers, and other developers to align
software solutions with business goals, occasionally providing technical
recommendations and guidance.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation for developed applications,
ensuring clarity for future development and maintenance.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices, sharing insights with the
team to improve development efficiency and code quality.
Job Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
1-2 years in software development (has experience with programming and supervisory roles)
Proficient in PHP and Laravel.
Familiar with JavaScript frameworks like Vue.js.
Basic knowledge of RESTful API development.
Experience with relational databases (MySQL preferred).
Comfortable using version control systems (e.g., Git).
Strong problem-solving and teamwork abilities.
Good communication skills.
Amenable to work in Cainta Rizal
