Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Civil Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing construction projects, ensuring that they are completed efficiently, on time, and within budget. You will work closely with architects, contractors, and other engineers to deliver infrastructure projects that meet regulatory standards, client requirements, and sustainability goals. A strong background in structural, environmental, and transportation engineering is essential to ensure project success.
Key Responsibilities:
* Project Design: Develop, analyze, and evaluate plans and designs for civil engineering projects, including roads, bridges, buildings, utilities, and environmental systems.
* Site Assessments: Conduct site visits to assess environmental, geotechnical, and infrastructure conditions to inform design decisions and construction plans.
* Construction Oversight: Monitor construction sites, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and engineering specifications.
* Compliance and Regulations: Ensure projects comply with all relevant codes, laws, and environmental regulations. Obtain necessary permits and approvals from governing agencies.
* Cost Estimation & Budgeting: Prepare and review project cost estimates, manage budgets, and ensure projects stay within financial constraints.
* Collaboration & Coordination: Work with clients, contractors, architects, and other engineers to ensure project specifications, timelines, and goals are met.
* Problem-Solving: Address and resolve any design, construction, or environmental challenges that arise during project development.
* Reporting & Documentation: Maintain detailed project documentation, including progress reports, engineering calculations, and as-built drawings. Prepare final reports for project handover.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
* Professional Engineering (PE) license or the ability to obtain it within a specified time.
* 2+ years of experience in civil engineering or related disciplines.
* Proficiency with engineering software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, SAP2000, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Strong knowledge of local building codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
* Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking abilities.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work well under pressure.
* Experience in project management and cost estimation is a plus.
