Job Description

MedVA is currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Medical Virtual Admin Assistant to join our team. This position is an onsite role, based at our MedVA office in Robinsons, Zeta Tower. Quezon City. As a Medical Virtual Admin Assistant at MedVA, you will provide administrative support to medical professionals, ensuring smooth operations and efficient workflows.

You will play a vital role in ensuring that patients receive the medications they need in a timely manner

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Verifying insurance coverage.
• Submitting prior authorization requests.
• Documenting patient information and communicating with all parties involved in the authorization process.
• Coordinating with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and pharmacies to obtain the necessary authorizations for patients' prescriptions.


REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of 1 year experience as a Medical Admin Assistant or in a similar role
• Minimum of 1 year experience in prescription prior authorization or a related US healthcare administrative role
• Experience with insurance verification and claims processing
• Proficient in using medical software, specifically EPIC (required).
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, insurance terminology, and prescription medication processes
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with customer service and patient interaction
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
• Highly reliable and punctual
• Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
• Associate's degree or equivalent in the medical field is preferred
