Job Description

New Product Development

Responsibilities:

Receives and reviews lay out/ drawing from Technical Services Department
Identify, summarize and develop raw and packaging materials for alternative sourcing.
Ensures that all raw and packaging materials have multiple sources from qualified supplier.
Sourcing of new suppliers or multi-sources of existing materials.
Close coordination with the Technology Department for all requested raw and packaging materials.
Does canvassing of price and terms of indirect materials suppliers and places PO to qualified suppliers.
Negotiate pricing, delivery, lead time, and better payment terms with suppliers
Seeking out saving opportunities while maintaining quality standards
Evaluate suppliers based on quality, timeliness, price and service support.
Monitors delivery of indirect materials and completion of projects/services.
Does price and term negotiation with suppliers
Does audits of Suppliers on a regular basis Sourcing of new suppliers or multi-sources of existing materials

Qualifications:

Graduate of any 4-year Business Course
With at least 2 - 3 years experience in Purchasing or Procurement
Good analytical skills with superb negotiation and communication skills
Proficient with Microsoft applications and background in ERP is an advantage but not required.
Optimistic, broadminded and with a sense of responsibility, flexible and with initiative.
