Job Description

SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

•Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
•At least 5 years of experience in release management, project management, or service transition
•Advanced knowledge of software development life cycle
•Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross functional work teams toward task completion
•Advanced written and verbal communication skills as a must
•General PC knowledge including MS Office
•ITIL certification is a nice to have skill
•Nice to have experience with deploying packaged applications

TECHNICAL SKILLS

The Release Masnager owns the release management lifecycle which includes scheduling, coordinating, and the management of releases across the enterprise for multiple applications across various portfolios.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities:

•Implement and manage release processes for code through development, test, and production environment
•Work collaboratively with all participants in software development projects and is supportive of developers and testers as they set up their build and test environments
•Build the release calendar in working closly with project managers of different portfolios across IT and centralizing view of all releases
•Forward plan the release windows and cycles across a portfolio
•Manage risks and resolves issues that affect release scope, schedule and quality
•Measure and monitor progress to ensure application releases are delivered on time and within budget, and that they meet or exceed expectations
•Conduct release readiness reviews, milestone reviews, and business go/no go reviews
•Produce deployment, run books, and implementation plans
•Participate in change control board meetings to discuss release scope and roadblocks
