Job Description
To manage the secure and compliant disposal of IT assets that are no longer in use in all client sites, ensuring proper handling of data and environmental compliance.
1. Planning:
• Create a project plan with clear timelines and milestones.
• Coordinate with teams (IT, Site Facilities, Finance, internal and Vendors) for asset inventory and disposal preparation.
2. Vendor Coordination:
• Work with approved IT Asset Disposal vendors.
• Ensure vendors comply with data security and recycling standards.
3. Compliance and Security:
• Ensure secure data destruction (e.g., wiping or shredding) before disposal.
• Keep all certificates of destruction and compliance records.
4. Execution:
• Oversee asset collection, tagging, and transfer to disposal vendors.
• Track disposal progress and resolve issues promptly.
5. Reporting:
• Provide updates on project status to stakeholders.
• Submit final reports with disposal records and financial summaries.
Deliverables
• Detailed asset inventory for disposal
• Certificates of data destruction and recycling
• Final project report
