Welder/Fabricator

Key Responsibilities:
Fabrication and Assembly:
- Weld and assemble formwork components based on technical drawings and specifications.
- Use various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and arc welding, to complete tasks.

Repairs and Maintenance:
- Inspect, maintain, and repair steel formworks to ensure their safety and functionality.
- Replace damaged or worn-out components as required.

Safety Compliance:
- Follow all safety protocols, including wearing appropriate protective gear and ensuring proper equipment handling.
- Conduct inspections of welding equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.

Quality Assurance:
- Perform quality checks on completed welds to ensure durability and adherence to design specifications.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to address any design or quality issues.

Team Collaboration:
- Coordinate with construction workers and project managers to ensure the timely completion of formwork welding tasks.
- Assist other team members in construction activities as needed.

- Minimum of one (1) year experience as a Welder.
- A high school diploma or equivalent qualification and a valid certificate in welding from an accredited institution are preferred.
- Excellent knowledge of welding machinery, electrical equipment, and manual tools.
- Use specialized machinery for industrial welding and oversee machines that perform the same job.
- Maintain and repair all machinery.
- Assess welded surfaces, structures and components to identify errors.
- Follow and enforce strict safety regulations such as wearing heat-resistant gloves, protective masks, and safety shoes.
- Monitor machinery for appropriate usage and temperature.
