Job Description
Take orders: Discuss the details of the job with customers and agree on specifications
Select materials: Choose the right type of wood, veneer, or synthetic board
Study plans: Review drawings, blueprints, and specifications
Cut and shape wood: Use hand tools and woodworking machines to cut, shape, and form parts
Assemble furniture: Use glue, clamps, nails, and screws to fit parts together
Apply finishes: Sand, stain, or polish the finished product
Install: Put the finished product in place at the job site
Repair: Fix or restyle old furniture, fixtures, and other products
