Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Legal Leadership Advisor
- Act as a legal advisor to local leadership, collaborating with GCC and the Market Unit Legal Director to ensure adherence to corporate governance principles.
- Educate and guide local leadership on compliance with the Code of Business Ethics (COBE) and sound corporate governance practices.
- Provide advice on legal implications of business decisions, ensuring alignment with company policies and global best practices.

Business Advisor
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review, advise, and oversee CORE responsibilities, ensuring legal alignment with business strategies.
- Act as a liaison with the Government Relations team, addressing local sensitivities and mitigating reputational risks.
- Support initiatives led by the Market Unit Lead and Country Managing Director, ensuring compliance with global legal programs.

Compliance Oversight
- Implement global compliance programs at the local level, ensuring full alignment with company standards and legal frameworks.
- Monitor regulatory changes, ensuring all new and updated laws are incorporated into company policies and processes.
- Evaluate, investigate, and resolve compliance issues and concerns, implementing corrective actions as necessary.

Corporate Functions Advisor
- Serve as a trusted advisor to corporate functions, providing proactive legal guidance on day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives.
- Offer support and advice on corporate restructuring, local entity management, and compliance with company secretarial matters.
- Collaborate with Controllership and external legal advisors to ensure all regulatory requirements are met.

Skills and Qualifications

---

Must-Have
- Graduate of Law (Juris Doctor or equivalent)
- 6-8 years of experience in a dynamic in-house legal team or corporate law firm environment, preferably working across multiple jurisdictions and multinational corporations.
- Strong knowledge of corporate governance, compliance, and legal advisory frameworks.
- Proficiency in legal research, drafting contracts, and advising corporate leadership.

Good to Have
- BAR Passer / Licensed Lawyer
- Additional certifications in compliance, data privacy, data governance, or Information Security.
- Experience in corporate law, company secretarial matters, and *multi-jurisdictional compliance management.
- Familiarity with global compliance frameworks and corporate restructuring activities.
