Job Description
1. Technical Consulting Services (Design)
a. Providing subject matter expertise in the form of non-functional requirements to projects and strategic
virtualization initiatives
b. Attending to ongoing compliance requirements - advise on DCCS related to security fixes, identification and
treatment of platform risks, etc
c. Able to design and influence Architect team on virtual platform key decisions
d. Good knowledge or exposure on key areas for DCCS
e. Work with vendors and provide an aligned roadmap for the covered scope
2. Functional/Operational Enhancement
a. Process Enhancement: Implement and manage process improvements to enhance efficiency of the team and
reduce downtime for the business
b. Problem Management: Handle complex technical issues and provide solutions to maintain smooth operations.
c. Pro-active in ensuring stability, response time and operational consistency
d. Contribute to continuous-improvement cycle for all functional/operational matters relating to the DCCS team
coverage leveraging the right team members at the righ ttime
e. Identify Innovation activities that promotes optimization and efficiency of the team
f. ITIL disciplines – KPI compliance and SLA monitoring & improvement
g. Technical & process solutions for complex operational scenarios
h. Working closely with partner teams (Systems, Network and Security) to deliver best-of-breed customer service
outcomes.
i. Team leadership: Guide and mentor the technical team, ensuring they adhere to best practices and standards.
3. Support
a. Senior escalation point for all DCCS technical matters for the SSC DCCS team
b. Lead all the problem records and own them till resolution
c. Provide Life Cycle Management Strategy for all DCCS coordinating the topic across the DCCS technical team
d. Prepare Baseline Matrix ( Firmware & Device Drivers ) for all virtual Platforms
e. Initiate Service Improvement programs
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Provide monthly reports on activity, quality and performance of these System Infrastructures.
2. Ensure appropriate documentation, including procedures for the Operations departments
Non-Exemption/Must Have
1. Breathe of experience across the area of Infrastructure with deep technical expertise on one of the areas: (Must Have)
a. Virtual Platform
b. Cloud Computing
c. Database Administration
d. OS Management
2. Cross-Infrastructure knowledge/awareness on how network architecture work such as but not limited to protocols
and/or data center cabling (Must Have)
3. Experience automating activities and/or maintenance within the DCCS coverage. (Must Have)
4. Deep knowledge on Azure or AWS platform (Must Have)
SECONDARY TECHNICAL ABILITIES
1. Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, etc. (Must Have)
2. Experience with Docker (Must Have)
3. Experience with DevOps environment (Must Have)
4. Knowledge in ITIL framework (Must Have)
BEHAVIOR ABILITIES:
1. 10 years experience in infrastructure, 5+ years of experience in performing analysis and troubleshooting within the
Infrastructure scope (Must Have)
2. Self motivated, eager to learn in the IT profession
3. Team player must be able to work with people within and outside of the IT department.
4. Customer service oriented
5. Stakeholder management – technical and business customers.
6. Excellent communication skills, verbal and written. English speaking mandatory
