Job Description

An air conditioning technician, also known as an HVAC technician, installs, maintains, and repairs air conditioning systems and equipment. Their responsibilities include:
Installation
Drilling holes, mounting brackets, cutting, threading, and bending pipes, and welding, soldering, brazing, or bolting pipes
Maintenance
Conducting regular preventive maintenance, identifying maintenance risks, and ensuring compliance with appliance standards and OSHA
Repair
Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults, cleaning and adjusting systems, and performing emergency repairs
Testing
Testing and adjusting systems to achieve optimal performance
Safety
Inspecting air conditioning units for safety and following workplace health and safety procedures
