Job Description

4-year course graduate & up
At least 10 years of experience in the logistics industry

Key Responsibilities:
Supply Chain Management:

Oversee the entire supply chain process, from sourcing raw materials to delivering finished products to customers.
Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and third-party logistics providers to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.
Inventory Management:

Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent overstocking or stockouts.
Implement inventory tracking systems and ensure accurate documentation of goods received, stored, and shipped.
Transportation & Distribution:

Plan and manage the transportation of goods from warehouses to customers or retail locations.
Select and negotiate contracts with transportation providers (e.g., trucking, shipping, air freight).
Ensure that shipments are delivered on time and meet customer satisfaction standards.
Warehouse Management:

Oversee warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and dispatching goods.
Ensure the warehouse operates efficiently, is well-organized, and complies with safety standards.
Optimize warehouse space and layout for maximum efficiency.
Logistics Planning & Strategy:

Develop and implement logistics strategies that align with organizational goals, aiming to reduce costs and improve operational efficiency.
Analyze logistics data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as needed.
Budgeting & Cost Control:

Prepare and manage the logistics department’s budget, ensuring cost-effective operations.
Monitor logistics expenses, analyze cost drivers, and implement cost-saving strategies without compromising quality or service levels.
Team Management:

Manage and supervise logistics teams, including warehouse staff, drivers, and dispatchers.
Train and develop staff, ensuring they follow best practices and safety protocols.
Monitor team performance and provide feedback to ensure continuous improvement.
Customer Service & Communication:

Ensure that customer orders are processed efficiently and delivered on time.
Communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, and internal departments regarding order status, delays, or issues.
Resolve logistics-related issues or complaints quickly and professionally.
Compliance & Safety:

Ensure that all logistics operations comply with relevant laws and regulations, such as transportation laws, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
Implement and enforce safety procedures to minimize accidents or damage during the transportation and handling of goods.
Skills & Qualifications:
Leadership Skills: Ability to manage and motivate a team, coordinate activities, and ensure everyone is working toward the same goals.
Analytical Skills: Ability to assess logistics data, identify inefficiencies, and make informed decisions to improve processes.
Problem-Solving: Ability to resolve logistical challenges quickly and effectively, especially in time-sensitive situations.
Negotiation Skills: Skilled in negotiating contracts and prices with suppliers, carriers, and service providers to reduce costs and improve service.
Technical Skills: Proficiency with logistics software, warehouse management systems (WMS), and other tools for tracking and reporting.
Attention to Detail: Accuracy in managing inventory, shipments, and schedules to prevent costly mistakes or delays.
