Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular internal audits of financial records, transactions, and accounting systems to ensure compliance with company policies, local laws, and industry standards.
- Review and evaluate internal control systems and make recommendations for improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial and operational processes.
- Prepare detailed audit reports, including findings, conclusions, and recommendations for corrective actions.
- Coordinate with external auditors during the annual audit process and assist in the preparation of audit schedules and documents.
- Monitor and ensure that financial transactions are in compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Examine accounting records, financial statements, and supporting documentation to verify the accuracy and completeness of transactions.
- Investigate discrepancies or irregularities in financial reports and recommend actions to mitigate risks.
- Provide guidance and training to staff on financial reporting standards and internal controls to ensure compliance across all departments.
- Stay up-to-date with relevant accounting regulations and auditing standards to ensure the company’s financial practices remain compliant.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field. CPA (Certified Public Accountant) certification is a strong advantage.
- Experience: At least 1-2 years of experience in auditing or accounting, preferably in the retail or e-commerce industry.
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, auditing standards, and financial regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Familiarity with tax laws, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance specific to the retail and e-commerce industry is preferred.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex financial data, identify discrepancies, and recommend actionable solutions.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail when reviewing financial documents and records.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to present audit findings and collaborate with other departments.
