Job Description
• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, with completion of a relevant vocational program and certification (e.g., ASE Certification) or equivalent.
• Minimum of five (5) years’ work experience as Auto Mechanic or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, including electrical, mechanical, and electronic components, as well as diagnostic tools and repair techniques.
• Ability to work with computerized diagnostic equipment.
• Physical strength and stamina to work on vehicles for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Willing to work in Makati or Mandaluyong City.
• Full time position, direct hire.
Responsibilities:
• Inspect vehicle engine and mechanical / electrical components to diagnose issues accurately.
• Conduct diagnostic testing to identify issues with vehicles.
• Performing basic automotive care, including changing fluids (e.g. oil), repairing or replacing worn, old, or defective parts of a car and or truck, aiming to vehicle functionality and longevity.
• Schedule future maintenance sessions and advice drivers on good vehicle use practices.
• Provide accurate estimates (cost, time, and effort) for a repair or maintenance job.
• Maintain work logs, repair and maintenance records.
• Ability to handle various tools and heavy equipment (e.g. forklift) as needed.
• Testing parts and systems to ensure they work correctly.
• Test drive vehicles after repairs and maintenance performed on vehicles.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Perform related tasks as required.
