Job Description

Responsibilities:
Conduct regular safety inspections and audits.
Develop and implement safety policies and procedures.
Provide safety training to employees.
Investigate accidents and incidents to determine causes.
Identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards.
Maintain accurate records of safety inspections and incidents.
Collaborate with other departments to promote a culture of safety.
Prepare and present safety reports to management.
Monitor and enforce the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
Coordinate emergency response drills and procedures.
Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and regulatory changes.
Assist in the development of safety-related training materials.
Participate in safety committee meetings.
Review and update safety policies as needed.
Ensure proper signage and labeling of hazardous materials.
Manage safety-related documentation and records.
Provide guidance and support to employees on safety matters.
Promote a proactive approach to safety management.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field.
Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent certification preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a safety officer role.
Strong knowledge of safety regulations and standards.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to conduct thorough investigations and risk assessments.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to work well under pressure.
