Job Description
Perform routine inspections of building systems and equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues.
Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
Coordinate with external vendors for specialized repairs.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
Assist in the installation and setup of new equipment.
Monitor and manage inventory of maintenance supplies.
Collaborate with other departments to address facility needs.
Perform general building maintenance tasks as needed.
Participate in training and development programs.
Provide support during facility renovations and upgrades.
Inspect and maintain HVAC systems for efficiency.
Ensure proper functioning of fire safety systems.
Assist in energy management and conservation efforts.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas.
Report any safety hazards or maintenance issues promptly.
Support the implementation of facility improvement projects.
Adhere to company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
Diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
Proven experience as a facility technician or similar role.
Strong knowledge of building systems and maintenance procedures.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility to work outside of regular business hours if needed.
Physical ability to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects.
Basic computer skills for record-keeping and communication.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
Willingness to participate in ongoing training and development.
Experience with HVAC systems and controls is a plus.
Knowledge of energy management and conservation practices.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure.
