Job Description

Key Responsibilities
Production Planning and Coordination:

Develop and implement production plans to meet customer demand and optimize resources.
Schedule production runs and manage workflow to ensure timely delivery of products.
Quality Control:

Monitor production processes and quality standards to ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
Implement quality assurance protocols and manage corrective actions when necessary.
Team Management:

Supervise and train production staff, including operators and line workers.
Foster a positive work environment and promote safety practices.
Cost Management:

Control production costs by optimizing processes and reducing waste.
Analyze production data and make recommendations for cost-saving initiatives.
Equipment Maintenance:

Ensure that machinery and equipment are maintained and operate effectively.
Coordinate with maintenance teams for repairs and upgrades.
Compliance and Safety:

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures to minimize workplace hazards.
Reporting and Documentation:

Maintain accurate production records, including output levels, quality control results, and inventory levels.
Prepare reports for upper management regarding production performance and issues.
Skills and Qualifications
Educational Background:

A bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, manufacturing, production management, or a related field is typically required.
Advanced degrees (like an MBA) may be preferred for higher-level positions.
Experience:

Several years of experience in production management or a related role within the FMCG sector.
Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies is advantageous.
Technical Skills:

Proficiency in production planning software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
Understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment.
Leadership and Communication:

Strong leadership skills to manage and motivate a diverse team.
Excellent communication skills to interact with various stakeholders, including suppliers, employees, and management.
Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:

Ability to analyze production data and trends to make informed decisions.
Strong problem-solving skills to address production challenges and improve processes.
Adaptability:

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Flexibility to adapt to changes in production schedules and demands.
