Equipment Reliability and Engineering (ERE) Section Head

Drake’s top client – a manufacturing company is hiring an Equipment Reliability and Engineering (ERE) Section Head to be part of their collaborative team in Biñan City, Laguna.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the Sustaining Team, Controls Team, Projects Team, and Preventive Maintenance Team, providing engineering services to support manufacturing operations.
• Responsible for technical oversight, guidance, and leadership to the three Equipment Reliability Engineering subgroups.
• Promote quality standards and procedures, fostering a work environment of continuous improvement. Check and approve new design content and documentation, including design changes, and manage budgets and control costs/expenses within the area of responsibility.
• Support the planning, design, and execution of capital projects for the facility, covering all phases of the project lifecycle related to the installation or modification of equipment or facilities. Responsibilities include conceptual and schematic design, cost estimating, scope development, construction supervision, cost and schedule control, qualification, startup, and operator training.
• Manage, design, conceptualize, install, commission, and test continuous improvement projects targeting capacity improvements, yield improvements, service level, safety, process controls, and process monitoring through machine controls improvements/modifications and programming of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Human Machine Interfaces (HMI), Motion, Vision, and Robot systems.
• Support the implementation of new equipment and line installations, including validations, ensuring optimal performance levels of production equipment, machines, controllers/components, and compliance with preventive maintenance and updated spare parts.
• Troubleshoot complicated issues with production machines on the line.

Qualifications:

• College graduate in Electrical / Electronics/ Instrumentation and Controls Engineering or related field
• Preferably a registered/ licensed or certified engineer in any engineering field
• Master’s degree in technical or management field is an advantage.
• With at least 10 years’ experience in manufacturing facility with direct responsibility of Automated Equipment, Controls Programming, Production Equipment Maintenance and Preventive Maintenance
• Must be highly experienced and have advanced knowledge in Pneumatics Technology, Sensor Technology, Instrumentation, Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), Vision system and Robotics
• Advance knowledge in installation, programming, commissioning and testing of Programmable Logic Controller, Motion Controller (Drives, Stepper, Servo), Vision System, Robot and Instrumentation components or equipment, is an advantage
• With experience in electro-mechanical design and controls
• Knowledge in both theoretical and practical aspects of Project Management and Continuous Improvement
• Knowledge in Total Preventive Maintenance and Maintenance SAP
• Willing to work in Binan, Laguna, from Mondays to Saturdays (Saturdays are alternating off)
