Job Description

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus. (Non negotiable)
Proven experience/minimum of 5 years and up experience in leading data migration projects, with a strong understanding of data management principles and best practices. (Non negotiable)
Excellent project management skills, with the ability to effectively plan, organize, and prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines.
Proficiency/with minimum of 5 years up experience in data migration tools and technologies, as well as experience working with databases and data warehousing systems (Non negotiable)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address data migration issues effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Technical Skills Required (5 to 10 years of experience)
Data modelling and analysis techniques
Design and develop data extract and load scripts.
Validation of developed scripts.
Good knowledge in Database especially DB2, SQL server, PostgreSQL, and Cosmos DB (nice to have).
Job Description
The Data Migration Lead will be part of the overall program team and will be responsible for coordinating activities across all solution implementation projects, ensuring the successful transfer of data from one system to another while maintaining data integrity and security. He\She will work closely with the Solution Architect and Data Lead in the definition of the target data model.

The Data Migration Lead will be responsible for defining the data migration plan for each solution, working with source data system and new system to design and create the mechanism to extract, cleanse, transform, enrich, load, and validate all required data for the successful implementation and operation of the new solutions.

The Data Migration Lead will co-ordinate all data migration activities and will create and operate the migration tools as necessary.

Responsibilities:

Lead and oversee all aspects of data migration projects, including planning, execution, and post-migration validation.
Develop and implement data migration strategies and best practices to ensure the successful and secure transfer of data.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data migration requirements and develop comprehensive migration plans.
Manage and coordinate the activities of the data migration team, providing guidance and support as needed.
Ensure data integrity and security throughout the migration process, implementing appropriate measures to protect sensitive information.
Troubleshoot and resolve any data migration issues that may arise during the migration process.
Communicate with stakeholders to provide regular updates on the progress of data migration projects and address any concerns or questions
