Job Description
Department: System Administration
Unit: GMO GLOBALSIGN, INC. PHILIPPINES
Reports to: VP/Head of Infrastructure/ GM
Directly reporting to the Systems Administrator Manager System s Administrators are primarily responsible
for Global S ign Infrastructure Monitoring Management including, Security, Incidents and Alerts, Maintenance
notification & configuration, or other general administration tasks in/of servers and related network equipment
used by the Infrastructure Department globally. Monitoring functions include coordination with Developers,
Engineers, Support team, Evaluation of Security access in DC and reporting to Department heads, and creating JIRA
tickets for pr ope r management of cases involving the Infra team. The team also coordinates with third-party providers
of outsourced services.
Performance standards include but are not limited to:
Infrastructure servers and services are monitored daily resulting in acceptable uptime
Security operations alerts are monitored and addressed within SLA.
Assigned activities that form part of the Team's monthly, quarterly, and annual targets are 100%
implemented
Resolutions to internal as well as VIP external clients and 3 rd party partners/outsourced services
Technical concerns and inquiries are attended to and resolved within agreed-upon timelines.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Administration and Monitoring
Regular ly monit or s /assess es the performanc e and security of the Global s ign Data Centers / servers
(JAPAN, and UK DC) and related equipment to ensure acceptable uptime and quality of service. This
includes accessing internal and external portals (e.g. Zabbix Monitoring) as well as performing manual
training as required
H an nd les alert maintenance or incidents on internal servers and coordinates with third-party providers
regarding the configuration and maintenance of outsourced Global S ign services.
M monitors, investigates, and escalates alerts/cases/unplanned maintenance/ or utilization issues affecting
the production networks
Regularly monitor s and escalate security alerts related to changes in the servers and networking
equipment's, potential risks detected by monitoring applications and reports from internal and external
partners.
Coordinates with the Department Manager and internal/external partners regarding planned Infrastructure
activities (e.g., upgrade of software or hardware ) and unplanned activities (e.g., network trouble) to
ensure constant communication throughout any issues or outages
Management Reports
Provides reports to internal partners ( e.g. incident reports, utilization reports, or audit reports
Provides ad hoc reports that may be required by internal partners and Global S ign clients.
Gives timely feedback and updates to concerned parties (i.e., System Administrators, Managers, BU Head,

JOB
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Candidate to possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Engineering, or an equivalent of four -year degree course.
• Minimum of 3- 5 years of system administration work, including Linux administration, network troubleshooting, and, and management of cloud-based (e.g. AWS) services.
• Scripting and automation experience in bash and/and/or Python. Experience. Experience developing loping scripts for Ansible or chef is a bonchef is a bonus.
• Expert troubleshooting skills, able to investigate and resolve complex customer issues involving DDNS, TCPNS, TCP, HTTP(S)HTTP(S), and, proprietary applications, pushing back to the internal customer or support pushing back to the internal customer or support agent t agent when appropriate.
• Able to work both independently and as independently and as part of a team, collaborating on projects and tasks.
