Quality Assurance Specialist

The Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for:

- Designing sensory procedures, training, and calibrating sensory panels, as well as interpreting the results of sensory evaluation using statistical analyses.
- Consolidating and controlling external documents and records such as Working Drafts, Specification Sheets, RHSG, and other documents pertinent to QA processes.
- Designing training modules conforming to the quality management systems and conducting training.
- Coordinating with counterparts from the company's operating units for quality assurance programs.
- Recommending upgrades to facilities and equipment, streamlining operations to meet the required service levels for the section.
- Conducting process improvement projects and processes that may originate from client R&D and/or other units.
- Auditing suppliers, toll processors, bakeries, and depots, flagging areas of concern, recommending actions to take, and monitoring the implementation of actions taken.


Job Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology or equivalent fields.
- Must be a Registered Microbiologist.
- At least two (2) years of experience in food quality assurance and/or research and development, manufacturing, or related fields.
- Knowledgeable in food science and technology.
- Preferably has experience in implementing Integrated Management Systems (IMS) such as HACCP, ISO systems, FSSC, and SPC (Statistical -Process Control).
- Preferably with experience in bakery operations.
- Must be amenable to work on shifting schedules in Canlubang, Laguna.
