Job Description

Contracts Manager

Pitney Bowes is seeking to hire a full-time Contracts Manager for the Global Legal and Compliance Organization (GLACO).

Responsibilities

The Contracts Manager will be responsible for reviewing, drafting and negotiating contracts for the company’s Procurement Legal team. Responsibilities include reviewing and negotiating a variety of vendor agreements, including professional service agreements, supply agreements, software license and software as a service (SaaS) agreements, partner agreements, reseller agreements, business associate agreements and data processing agreements. This person will be required to interact with vendors, as well as obtain input and approval from Procurement, business leaders, and subject matter experts. This position will report directly into an Assistant General Counsel but will also work closely with, and occasionally take direction from Contracts Directors and other attorneys within GLACO.

Qualifications
The candidate must have a bachelor’s degree and at least 5-7 years’ experience managing and negotiating contracts. The successful candidate must have the following:
• Excellent negotiation and contract drafting skills, and ability to provide guidance on interpretation of complex contract clauses.
• Strong organizational, communication, analytical, and time management skills.
• An understanding of risk elements within a contract, how they might impact the business and the ability to articulate those risks (in both written and oral form) in a concise and clear manner to senior management.
• Ability to tactfully stand ground on issues, even under significant pressure.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced, high volume, deadline-oriented environment.
• Ability to work well with employees at all levels of Pitney Bowes.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, with strong ability to assess when to escalate issues.
• Experience negotiating vendor agreements is preferred.
• Working knowledge of SharePoint is a plus.
