Job Description

Customs Brokers work with clients to ensure legal and safe movement of their goods from country to country. They are in charge of tariffs, or the taxes for the goods that cross national boundaries. Customs Brokers work for custom brokerage firms, freight companies and other trade businesses. Clients consult with Customs Brokers to know their rights and options when it comes to transporting and trading their products. They assist clients in filing customs documents, collecting taxes and clearing shipments before transport to another location.
