Senior Accounting Specialist

RFEC is a money service business entity supervised under the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas. RFEC engages in foreign exchange and remittance transactions, which involves the buying and selling of different currencies and transfer of money, respectively.
The company is hiring for Accounting Manager

Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage all accounting functions, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable and receivable, and financial transactions.
Ensure the accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions and adjustments.
Prepare comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Ensure financial statements comply with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Prepare and file corporate tax returns in accordance with local and international tax laws.
Ensure timely payment of taxes and manage any related correspondence with tax authorities.
Stay updated on tax regulations and implement necessary changes.
Ensure adherence to financial regulations and industry standards specific to remittance and foreign exchange.
Perform other accounting-related duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

3+ years of experience in accounting
A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience in the remittance or foreign currency industry is a must.
Advanced understanding of accrual-based accounting principles
Proficiency in managing all aspects of accounting, including general ledger maintenance, financial statement preparation, and related accounting tasks.
Experience in preparing and managing corporate taxation, including compliance with local and international tax regulations.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Able to work in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
