Job Description
Performs scheduled preventive maintenance on trucks and equipment including but not limited to: lubrication and oil changes, brake, wheel, tire and battery services, belt, hose, headlight, and basic component replacement.
Performs basic to intermediate troubleshooting and diagnosis of mechanical/electrical problems.
Assesses trucks’ condition by conducting daily inspections to accurately diagnose and to work on repair issues.
Keeps equipment available at all times for use by completing preventive maintenance schedules, installing component and part upgrades
Verifies vehicle performance by conducting test drives, adjusting controls and systems during preventive maintenance schedule.
Maintains equipment and truck records by recording services and repairs.
Leads in the actual rescue of trucks due to delays encountered.
Ensures that all reports should be with the knowledge and approval of the department/business unit head and/or designate.
Fully adheres to the company’s code of discipline.
Performs other tasks that the Head Mechanic and/or Trucking Head may assign from time to time.
