About the role

BMQ BUILDERS AND SUPPLY CORP. is seeking a talented Purchasing Staff to join our team in Davao City, Davao del Sur. As a full-time member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in managing the purchasing and procurement processes that support our construction operations.

What you'll be doing

- Liaising with suppliers to negotiate pricing, delivery, and other contract terms
- Preparing and processing purchase orders, requisitions, and other procurement-related documentation
- Maintaining accurate inventory records and monitoring stock levels to ensure timely replenishment
- Researching and identifying new suppliers to expand our vendor network
- Collaborating with project managers and other stakeholders to understand purchasing needs
- Ensuring all purchases comply with company policies and procedures
- Providing administrative support to the procurement team as needed

What we're looking for

- Minimum 2 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably in the construction industry
- Strong negotiation and communication skills to effectively liaise with suppliers
- Proficient in using procurement software and spreadsheet applications
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities to identify cost-saving opportunities
- Attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- A team player with a proactive and customer-oriented mindset
