Functional SAP Consultant

• Provides first-level support for Finance SAP-related issues within the organization, troubleshoots and resolves SAP system problems and user queries. Collaborates and coordinates with end-users and third- party support for resolution.
• Conduct root cause analysis for complex accounting system issues. Implement preventive measures to address recurring problems. Collaborate with third-party support to develop long-term solutions.
• Establish governance and compliance monitoring to ensure full adoption of the new system and processes by the Infra Group.
• Work closely with the BUs, AIC project management team, and systems implementers during project implementation to ensure successful implementation and smooth transition.
• Leads the assigned outsourced support to ensure accurate and timely resolution of issues and delivery of project requirements
• Leads the continuous learning for SAP and other finance tools. Participate in SAP user groups, forums, and communities to stay connected with the broader SAP community.
• Stay up to date with emerging trends in financial reports programming, and finance automation technologies, evaluating their potential application to the company’s processes. Propose and lead the adoption of new tools, methodologies, and best practices to enhance the team & efficiency and effectiveness in collaboration with the IT & Digital team
• Ensures accuracy, completeness and availability of SAP-related documentation such as user manuals, user instructions, guidelines, and knowledge-sharing resources.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of Accountancy, Information Technology or other Business Course
• At least five years of professional experience as a Functional SAP consultant; or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.
• Intensive knowledge of the business process in a given area of expertise and a good understanding of the business process in general.
• Have an overview of the full range of SAP and 3rd party products within the production environment, particularly SAP Functional Configuration and User Acceptance Testing design, development, and performance for SAP functionality.
• Experience integrating complex systems, including gap analysis and mapping between multiple database systems.
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple terms to non-technical stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and end users.

License/Certification and Training Requirement:
• SAP certifications
• Certified Public Accountant preferred but not required
• Lean Six Sigma/project management certifications preferred but not required

Additional Information:
• This is a 6-month contract position with the infrastructure development solutions client and with the potential for extension based on performance and project needs.
