CAD Operator

We are seeking a skilled CAD Operator with extensive experience in furniture and cabinetry design to join our team. As a CAD Operator, you will play a vital role in translating design concepts into detailed drawings and specifications for furniture and cabinetry projects. Responsibilities:

1. CAD Drafting: Utilize Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp) to create detailed drawings, plans, and 3D models for furniture and cabinetry projects. Translate design concepts, sketches, and specifications into accurate and precise technical drawings.
2. Customization: Work closely with designers, architects, and clients to understand project requirements, preferences, and constraints. Incorporate customizations, modifications, and revisions into CAD drawings to meet client needs and design specifications.
3. Material Selection: Assist in selecting appropriate materials, finishes, and hardware for furniture and cabinetry projects. Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure availability of materials and compatibility with design requirements.
4. Technical Documentation: Prepare comprehensive technical drawings, assembly instructions, and cutting list for manufacturing and installation purposes. Generate detailed drawings for components, joinery, and assembly methods.
5. Quality Assurance: Review CAD drawings and models for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to design standards and project requirements. Identify and resolve discrepancies, errors, or conflicts in drawings and specifications.
6. Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams, including designers, engineers, and production staff, to coordinate project workflow and ensure the timely completion of deliverables. Participate in design reviews, project meetings, and client presentations as needed.
7. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in furniture and cabinetry design. Explore innovative design solutions and techniques to improve efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree or diploma in Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering, or related field preferred.
2. Proven experience as a CAD Operator or Drafter with a focus on furniture and cabinetry design.
3. Proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar programs. Experience with 3D modeling and rendering software is a plus.
4. Strong technical skills with the ability to create accurate and detailed drawings from conceptual designs.
5. Knowledge of furniture construction techniques, materials, and manufacturing processes.
6. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and interact with clients, designers, and production personnel.
