Aircon Technician

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Install new air conditioning systems, including ductwork, refrigerant lines, and electrical connections.

2. Ensure all installations comply with local building codes and regulations.

3. Perform routine maintenance tasks on air conditioning units, including cleaning, lubrication, and inspection of components.

4. Replace or repair defective parts, such as compressors, condensers, and thermostats.

5. Diagnose and repair faults and malfunctions in air conditioning systems.

6. Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify issues and determine appropriate solutions.

7. Communicate effectively with customers to explain issues, provide estimates, and offer advice on system use and maintenance.

8. Provide excellent customer service and ensure customer satisfaction.

9. Adhere to safety protocols and procedures while working on air conditioning systems.

10. Ensure all work complies with relevant health and safety regulations.

11. Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs, and maintenance activities.

12. Complete and submit work orders and reports in a timely manner.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

1. High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) preferred.

2. Previous experience as an Air Conditioning Technician or similar role preferred.

3. Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing air conditioning systems.

4. Knowledge of refrigerants and electrical systems.

5. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams.

6. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

7. Relevant certifications (e.g., EPA certification for refrigerants) may be required or preferred.

8. Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various environmental conditions.
