Job Description
We are seeking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join
our team as an Accounting Assistant {with experience in
IMPORTATION/CONSTRUCTION} To work closely with our finance team to
support various accounting tasks, gain valuable hands-on experience, and
contribute to the smooth operation of our financial processes.
Accounting
Handle Accounts Receivable & reconciliation
Logistics Coordination
Ensure on-time arrival of shipments.
Work closely with freight forwarders, brokers, and customs officials to
manage the flow of goods and ensure timely customs release.
Oversee container trucking from port arrival to the distribution center,
ensuring efficient and cost-effective transportation.
Customs Compliance
Prepare, review, and upload all necessary import documentation,
including commercial invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading.
Ensure compliance with all relevant customs regulations, including
accurate classification of goods
Verify the accuracy of duty rates and proactively monitor changes in
import/customs regulations.
Cost Management
Minimize costs associated with demurrage /detention by proactively
managing logistics timelines. Audit logistics invoices for accuracy and
research any discrepancies.
Qualifications:
• Accountancy, Management Accounting o any related courses.
• 3 years or more of relevant work experience from a Construction /
Importation company.
• Proficient in bookkeeping
• Excellent decision-making ability and analytical skills.
• Good communication skills (both written and oral).
• Willing to work extended hours.
• Applicants must be willing to work in Cainta, Rizal.
