Accounting Senior Officer

Job Summary:
The Senior Accounting Officer will oversee and manage accounting functions to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulations. This role involves supervising junior staff, preparing financial statements, and analyzing financial data to support business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles.
Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
Monitor and reconcile general ledger accounts.
Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and expense reports.
Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.
Prepare and analyze financial reports for management and stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and relevant regulations.
Assist with audits and regulatory filings as required.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Effective communication and leadership abilities.
