Job Description
Responsible for the following Position/Section/ Department:
The Sustainability Department Senior General Manager is responsible for overseeing the following groups:
• Environment / Safety / IMS (ESI)
• Company Group Admin Rules (YGAR) and Risk Management
• Legal (Internal memo: Most important point)
• Landholding
Job Summary:
Sustainability Manager will lead the company's sustainability initiatives, ensuring compliance with IMS standards and effectively managing risks associated with environmental practices. This role involves developing and implementing sustainability strategies, and collaborating with various departments & stakeholders to integrate sustainable practices into our manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Compliance Management:
• Manages the IMS integrated system of the Company
• Ensures all operations comply with relevant ISO standards (ISO xxxxxxx, OHSAS 18001)
• Develop and implement compliance programs and audits to maintain high standards.
• Liaises with external auditors and regulatory bodies as needed.
• Maintains up-to-date documentation of compliance activities and certifications.
2. Risk Management:
• Identifies potential risks related to sustainability and environmental impact.
• Develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
• Monitors and reports on risk management activities.
• Implements risk assessments and creates contingency plans for potential issues.
3. Sustainability Strategy:
• Develops and oversees the implementation of sustainability initiatives.
• Collaborates with other departments to integrate sustainability into all aspects of processes.
• Tracks and reports on the progress of sustainability programs.
• Sets and achieves sustainability targets aligned with the company’s goals.
4. Stakeholder Engagement:
• Works with internal and external stakeholders to promote sustainability goals.
• Communicates the company’s sustainability efforts and achievements to employees, customers stakeholders
• Fosters relationships with regulatory agencies, non-profits, and community organizations.
• Represents the company at industry conferences and events related to sustainability.
5. Continuous Improvement
• Stays informed about industry trends, best practices, and new regulations.
• Provides training and resources to staff on sustainability and compliance topics.
• Leads projects aimed at improving the company's environmental footprint.
• Conduct regular reviews of sustainability initiatives and suggest improvements.
6. Facilitates professional development, training, and certification activities for Compliance Team
7. Acts as point of contact for the Company's Sustainability Group
8. Review all company legal documents including but not limited to MOAs and contracts
9. Monitors landholding performance and engagements
10. Prepare the Compliance Department budget
11. Implements compliance and business excellence strategy, processes, and policies
12. Identifies local compliance and business excellence deviations to government policies
13. Monitors performance of the various Sections of the Compliance Department against MBO
14. Draft policies and KPIs of the Compliance Department as approved by the President
15. Performs other related duties that his/her immediate superior may assign from time to time.
This role will be looking after a group of approx. 20 people
Budget: wage of 125K php + position allowance + meal allowance + 13th month + End year bonus + Gratuity Pay
Annually, we are talking approximately P2,607,500.

Also, we are flexible to work from home. We expect 50% to work outside the home (office/biz trip/out-of-office official business, etc).
But I expect the person to come a little more to get acquainted with his team in the first few months.

Educational Attainment
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or any 4-year business course
Preferably Master’s degree holder or Bachelor of Laws
Relevant Work Experience
**Previous work experience applicable to the position; include number of months or years if applicable
With at least 10 years of managerial experience in compliance, and sustainability, preferably in a manufacturing or automotive industry
Technical Knowledge and Soft Skills Requirements
**knowledge, technical skills, abilities) (e.g. Proficient in AutoCAD)
In-depth knowledge of ISO standards (xxxxxxx, 18001, 14001 ) with a track record in sustainability management, carbon emissions reduction, and environmental compliance
Knowledge of relevant regulations, standards, and certifications related to sustainability and environmental management.
Knowledge and experience in any of the following: Business Continuity Management, Risk and Crisis Management, and Disaster Recovery Planning
Experience in implementing and practicing operational standards around Governance, Risk, and Compliance
Demonstrated excellent organization, facilitation, leadership, written and oral communication, and presentation skills
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Flexible and adaptable to change as the Company may require, from time to time, to meet the reasonable needs of the business.
Excellent understanding of customer service with a strong sense of customer focus
Proficiency in Windows 10, MS Office, and Google Tools
Self-starter who can work independently and is flexible to work outside office hours, if required
Comfortable in a rapidly changing environment and able to manage tasks simultaneously.
Ability to benchmark, read, and analyze survey reports related to best practices of other companies
Meticulous, detailed, well-organized, and able to work independently to meet deadlines.
