Industrial Engineer

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Lead and manage industrial engineering projects focused on process optimization, cost reduction, and productivity enhancement.
2. Develop project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, and resource allocation.
3. Supervise, mentor, and provide guidance to a team of industrial engineers and support staff.
4. Conduct performance evaluations, identify training needs, and foster professional growth within the team.
5. Promote teamwork, collaboration, and effective communication among team members.
6. Analyze existing processes and workflows to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
7. Design and implement process improvements and best practices to enhance operational performance.
8. Utilize industrial engineering methodologies such as lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and value stream mapping.
9. Develop and execute strategies to achieve organizational goals related to efficiency, cost reduction, and quality improvement.
10. Identify opportunities for innovation and process optimization that align with business objectives.
11. Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions and efficient resource utilization.
12. Oversee the allocation of resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to meet project needs.
13. Work closely with other departments, such as operations, production, quality assurance, and supply chain, to ensure cohesive and integrated project execution.
14. Serve as a liaison between the engineering team and other stakeholders, including suppliers and clients.
15. Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to process performance, productivity, and efficiency.
16. Prepare and present reports and recommendations to senior management based on data analysis and project outcomes.
17. Ensure that engineering practices comply with relevant regulations, safety standards, and organizational policies.
18. Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures to protect employees and equipment.
19. Address and resolve technical and operational issues that arise during projects and daily operations.
20. Encourage a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the team.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in industrial engineering, with a proven track record in project management and team leadership. Previous experience in a managerial role is preferred.
3. Strong technical knowledge of industrial engineering principles, methodologies, and tools.
4. Proven leadership and team management capabilities.
5. Proficiency in project management software and data analysis tools.
6. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
7. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
