Job Description
1. Lead and manage electrical engineering projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to technical requirements, timelines, and budgets.
2. Develop project plans, including scope, schedules, resources, and milestones.
3. Supervise, mentor, and support a team of electrical engineers and technicians.
4. Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and identify opportunities for professional development.
5. Facilitate team collaboration and ensure effective communication within the engineering department.
6. Provide technical direction and support for electrical system design, analysis, and troubleshooting.
7. Review and approve engineering designs, specifications, and testing procedures.
8. Ensure the implementation of best practices and adherence to industry standards.
9. Develop and implement engineering strategies that align with organizational objectives.
10. Identify opportunities for process improvements, innovation, and cost-effective solutions.
11. Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes.
12. Prepare and manage project budgets, including cost estimation, tracking expenditures, and ensuring financial efficiency.
13. Allocate resources effectively, balancing project needs with available capabilities.
14. Coordinate with other departments, such as mechanical engineering, production, and quality assurance, to ensure project integration and alignment.
15. Act as a liaison between engineering teams and external stakeholders, including clients and suppliers.
16. Ensure all engineering activities comply with relevant regulations, safety standards, and organizational policies.
17. Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies as needed.
18. Address and resolve technical and operational challenges that arise during projects.
19. Foster a culture of innovation, encouraging creative solutions and continuous improvement.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a proven track record in project management and team leadership. Previous experience in a managerial role is preferred.
3. Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, engineering principles, and industry standards.
4. Proven leadership and team management capabilities.
5. Proficiency in project management tools and software.
6. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
7. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
