Senior Network Engineer

**Network Engineer III**

**Certificates:** Cisco CCNP or CCDP required

**Summary:** Manages and supports complex network systems, including switches, routers, and firewalls. Tests and improves network performance and reliability.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Install and maintain MPLS WAN and IPsec VPNs.
- Contribute to network design and manage services like DNS and DHCP.
- Use diagnostic tools to monitor and resolve network issues.
- Implement disaster recovery procedures.
- Select and implement network infrastructure to meet company needs.
- Document and address network issues with vendors.
- Recommend and test new technologies.
- Collaborate on network projects and technology evaluations.
- Analyze network data and generate reports.
- Manage changes and adhere to policies.
- Provide on-call support and mentor junior staff.
- Rack and cable network equipment as needed.

**Client Interaction:**
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Manage client requests and feedback effectively.

**Qualifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- 5-8+ years of relevant experience.

**Technical Skills:**
- Cisco Meraki, Catalyst Switching, ASR/ISR routers, Cisco IOS/NX-OS
- HPE/Aruba SD-WAN, Solaris/Linux/Windows/VMWare
- SSL Certificate management, Net Flow, SNMP, Shell Scripting
- ITIL, SAS-70
- Networking protocols: EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, Ethernet
- MS Office and Outlook

**Additional Skills:**
- Read and interpret packet captures.
- Understand server virtualization with VMWare.
- Familiar with HIPAA, SOX, and PCI requirements.
- Strong team player with good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work beyond standard hours as needed.
